RSV

On Saturday Brennon started getting sick, he had a cough, diarrhea and a fever that would not go away for 2 days I watched and he just was not getting better. So on Monday I went to my monthly pregnancy check up at Jordan Valley, I had to take the glucose so my mom, Brennon and I went to go get breakfast after, he just cried the whole time so I decided to take him in to the doctors thinking he had an ear infection.

I am in the doctors office thinking hurry up I want to go home and take a nap (I still have not gotten that nap). So we get back to finally see the doctor and they keep getting his oxygen levels at 79-83 they kept thinking it was wrong but they kept getting the same thing with different machines, so they took chest x-rays than took a RSV test. They left the room and came back in and said " the RSV test was positive and an ambulance is on it's way to pick up my baby and take him to Primary Childrens Hospital." At this time it didn't seem real until I called Harris and told him he needed to meet me, then I heard the ambulance pulling up I just started crying and I freaked out Harris because I had not told him yet what was wrong. I just was so surreal.

In the ambulance we were able to get his oxygen up with a mask he was staying around 85-90 then when we got there we waited about 2 hours in the ER room and they had told us we would be admitted to a room up stairs but we needed waite for a room because they are packed up there with RSV cases. We stayed up there until Yesterday, we thought we may go home Wednesday because he did so well on room air on Tuesday but Tuesday night he could not keep his oxygen levels up, he was back on oxygen another day. He also would not eat or drink so he had to have an IV and he would not drink on his own until yesterday. It was so hard to watch my baby go though poking and not being able to move and then they would come suction out his nose with a tube that went down his throat. The Doctors and nurses would put on mask and gowns to come in the room. I hated watching Brennon so miserable. It was very hard for me to watch what the kids up there were going through and to see that there were parents that weren't there with them, I am so lucky to have my husband because I stayed with Brennon while he made sure that Kaden and Allie would get to school then he would come up after school. Then my mom was there everyday to keep me company and make sure I got plenty of food to eat since I could not get myself to leave Brennon to get food.

This doggy was his protector, when the doctors or nurses with a yellow gown and a mask would come in, he would hold his doggy up to his nose every time..... He would not put his puppy down at all....

He had to have an IV he would not touch food or drinks...

He is sucking on his arm like big sis... and I look thrilled and you can tell I did not get that nap I wanted....

He is much happier, they had just come in and said " We get to go home"

He hates anyone in these yellow gowns!
Watching for daddy to come pick him up and take him home...
He had to wear a mask out of the hospital. He was the cutest thing ever....
Benners is home...and doing Awesome. He is back to being my little tease again! I didn't think I could love him anymore but man I DO!!!!
This just makes me think of how it could be so much worse I knew from the beginning that my Brenners would get better and he would be fine but there are parents that have no Idea if there babies will get better or know they won't. It just breaks my heart. I just pray that I don't have to face any of these trials...please! I just have the have up most respect for all mothers and fathers that have to go though this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We got home on Thursday and when my daughter got home from school I realized why mommy's are so important............
Mommy will brush your hair every day!!!!
I am still working on getting the bugs out...LOL!!!

RSV is so scary! Sami got it when she was 3 weeks old and gave us several scares!
